L3 Fitness Trainer
How did I get here?
Well let’s start at the beginning, my name Patrice. I am 25 from Southeast London and a mother of 2 beautiful girls.
2 years ago, I was at my heaviest weight of 19st 3lbs (269lbs) and I’m a short girl at 5’3, so you can imagine that wasn’t the prettiest, at most I didn’t feel pretty. I was very down about where my life was heading, until one day I just made that split decision that I didn’t want to live my life that way anymore. I wanted to be an inspiration to my girls and show them that self-care and living a healthy lifestyle is so important.
Long story short every night without fail I’d put the kids to bed and I’d workout for an hour. I could never do the whole hour, but I was doing it! After 6 months of hard work and determination, I was down 3st 8 lbs (50lbs)!! Me!! I had found a new love, FITNESS!
The feeling I got after working out was magical, sounds cliché but honestly, it’s true! I then began to think about ways I could help and inspire other people in similar positions to me. That being overweight is just a set back to your goals.
I met with Schanel (CEO of Samegirl DIfferentsize) and she showed how I can utilise this great body that I have. It became apparent that size means nothing at all and knowing that I can achieve any goal, without being acceptable to “society” standards, gave me all the determination I needed.
I’m still on my own fitness journey with a clear goal to continue to keep losing weight and I won’t stop until I get there!
I am now a fully qualified L3 personal trainer and nutritionist. Just one of many goals I have smashed this year.
Welcome to the Samegirl Differentsize Team Patrice
